About Cincy Designer Shoes

Carrie Cameron, owner of Cincy Designer Shoes has been a resident of downtown Cincinnati since August 2007.  Carrie had previously lived in Clearwater, Florida for over 30 years.  Friends and family were surprised how she could leave sunny, warm, tropical paradise and a breath-taking view of the Gulf of Mexico from her condo to city life in the mid-west.  But the more time Carrie spent discovering all that downtown has to offer and the unique surrounding areas, her love for this area made the decision to make Cincinnati “Home”.

Carrie has an extensive background in sales and marketing.  Carrie had previously owned a computer software training company which started with two employees and grew over a twelve year period to 50 employees selling products to 46 different countries.

When Carrie sold her last business, she told friends, “The next business I do is going to be fun” and what greater fun for a shoe-lover than opening a shoe store! Carrie has a personal shoe collection of approximately 200 pairs not to mention a mini-shoe collection of collectibles in about the same amount.

Carrie’s mother, Rae Cameron, has been in retail shoe sales for over 20 years.  And had hinted many times to her daughter of the possibility of opening a unique, up-scale shoe boutique and now the dream has become a reality!

Rae also left tropical paradise from her home in Dunedin, Florida were she too had lived for over 30 years.  Rae moved to a charming neighborhood in Covington, Kentucky in December 2008.  She says, “I, too, fell in love with this area…Downtown Cincinnati is just the right size city..Not too big or overwhelming, wonderful restaurants, theatre, sporting events and just a short walk across the bridge to Licking Riverside and Main Strauss.”

Carrie and Rae are excited to be opening a one of a kind, full-service shoe salon in the heart of Hyde Park Square.  They love the shops in the square and the friendliness of fellow merchants.  They think Cincy Designer Shoes is just what the shopping district needed.

It is their goal to bring unique designers to their shop, offering their customers shoes and handbags not found in the malls or the surrounding area.  Each shoe they carry was carefully hand-picked – rule of thumb in selecting their stock, Carrie and Rae say “we have to love it”!  Rae personally tries on each shoe at the shoe shows.  “I have bunion issues and am on my feet 8 hours a day – If the shoes are comfortable on me; they should be comfortable on everyone.  In my years of selling shoes, I know women want great style and beauty, but comfort is the key”, says Rae.

Carrie and Rae thoroughly want their customers to enjoy their visit to Cincy Designer Shoes!  They will be greeted by a friendly, knowledgable staff…Happy to assist you choosing just the right shoe for your new outfit or special occasion.  Great syles, as well as great personal service is what you’ll experience at Cincy Designer Shoes.
